Applicants who have successfully completed a Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) at an Ontario College with a min. C+ or 2.5 GPA, are eligible to receive advanced standing into Level 5 of the Early Childhood Leadership degree at Fanshawe College, after successful completion of a summer bridge.
The summer bridging semester runs from May to August and consists of the following four courses:
- Bridging Course #1: Evidence Based Practice in Early Childhood
- Bridging Course #2: Introduction to Early Childhood Leadership
- Composition & Rhetoric from the Honours Bachelor of Early Childhood Leadership program
- Degree Level Breadth Course Elective (it is recommended that this be a subject other than an SOSC course)
The anticipated schedule of student progression is a Minimum of two years, including summer bridge, four academic levels and one co-op work term. Students need to contact their Program Coordinator to review their program completion plan. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all degree requirements are met prior to graduation.
