This pathway provides Brock students interested in pursuing a career in film studies the opportunity to complete an honours bachelor's degree at Brock University, along with a graduate certificate program at Fanshawe College in only four years. This pathway offers opportunities for practical courses and field experience at Fanshawe College. Admission requirements: Upon successful completion of their third year at Brock with a minimum major average of 70 percent, and a minimum cumulative average of 70 percent, students may apply for transfer to Fanshawe College to participate in one of the eligible College Graduate Certificates and pay all tuition and other required fees to Fanshawe College. Students will complete all required courses for their certificate during one year of study at Fanshawe College. Equivalent courses: After completing the Fanshawe graduate certificate program, students will be granted 5.0 transfer credits and will be eligible to apply to graduate, where an intent to graduate must be submitted to Brock by July 1. Students must achieve a minimum major average of 70% during their time at Brock University and must also achieve a minimum cumulative average of 75% during their studies at Fanshawe College. ***NOTE: this collaboration agreement was last reviewed in May 2023 based on the curriculum delivered at that time and it only applies to the following graduate certificates: Advanced Filmmaking (AFM2), Broadcast Journalism - TV News (TVN2), Visual Effects & Editing for Contemporary Media (VEE1), and Audio Post-Production (APR1). ***The following program is currently not part of this pathway: 3D Animation and Character Design. ***Contact the Program Coordinator for the Graduate Certificate you're interested in for any questions.
