Graduates of the Fanshawe Practical Nursing Diploma program with prior university credits may be considered for admission to full-time study in the BSc Nursing (Compressed Time Frame) degree program.
This 19-month pathway program prepares graduates for careers as Registered Nurses (RN) and qualifies them to apply for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Eligibility requirements include:
- the completion of the Fanshawe College diploma with a minimum GPA of 75%,
- a competitive overall admission average as determined by Western,
- a minimum grade of “C”, in specific Fanshawe courses,
- a minimum of 5.0 full degree courses (equivalent to one full year or 30 credit hours) at a recognized university,
- RPN registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
