Graduates of the 2 year Social Service Worker diploma program, with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and no grade less than C (or 2.0) are eligible to apply for 8.0 transfer credits. This will allow students to enter year 3 of King's Bachelor of Social Work. Students will need to have completed specific courses in the SSW diploma within the 2 years prior to applying to King's and submit a Letter of Endorsement from the Associate Dean of the School of Community Studies at Fanshawe. To be considered for admission, Fanshawe students must apply through the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC) by March 15th and provide the King’s Admissions Office with their final academic transcripts by June 1st. Once admitted, students will need to complete a summer bridge prior to entering Year 3. PLEASE NOTE: SSW students interested in disciplines other than BSW (i.e., Sociology, Psychology, Disability Studies etc.) may receive up to 5.0 transfer credits when applying to King’s.
