Graduates of the Ontario Colleges advanced diploma in Child and Youth Care from Fanshawe College may enter the Year 4 of the BA (Honours) in Social Care at Munster Technological University (MTU).* This credential will be achieved in two semesters. MTU - Kerry (formerly IT Tralee) offer Fanshawe College graduates a special inclusive package for tuition and accommodation. ****For specific inquiries, contact Cyril Cavaghan at: cyril.gavaghan@ittralee.ie *NOTE: CORU, the regulatory body for health and social care professions in the Republic of Ireland, are in the process of validating Social Care programs in all Irish colleges. As of 2022, only graduates of a Level 7 (Years 1 to 3) CORU-approved program from an Irish college will be accredited to work as professional social carers in the Republic of Ireland. Professional qualifications awarded outside the State may be assessed through a process of ‘recognition’ involving comparison of the qualification with the standard of proficiency required of accredited Irish qualifications.
